■ Iraqi Visas on Arrival
By way of the Federal Iraqi government implementing a visa-on-arrival program. Sixty (60) day, single-entry visas on arrival are now available at Iraqi airports and border crossings for Americans – as well as now for citizens of the UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and five other nations – upon payment of an as-yet-to-be disclosed visa fee. ■ Lifting of Most Recent COVID-19 Travel Restrictions On Monday, 14 March 2021, the Ministry of Interior lifted most COVID-19 travel prohibitions that were imposed on travelers from the U.S., UK, EU, and other countries after the new strain of the COVID-19 virus emerged.
By order the Government of Iraq’s High Committee for Health and National Safety, all persons
traveling to Iraq must comply with all remaining Iraqi preventive health measures that remain in
effect:
- Each passenger must have a printed medical certificate with a negative
corona virus COVID-19 PCR test or RT-PCR test result.
- The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure.
- The certificate must be in Arabic or English.
